But in an era when our expectations around political thought leadership are almost constantly changing — and more often than not, plummeting — how does an organization like WSB stay relevant beyond the latest spin cycle?

We realized that while competitors like TED were carving out market share by leveraging speakers whose ideas could change what’s trending on Twitter, WSB was continuing to specialize in speakers whose ideas were actually changing the world.

And as we looked closer at what tied the diverse collection of WSB speakers together, what we saw was a communal passion for sharing of ideas, which is of course at the heart of any great political discourse.
